Carnival Corporation continues to raise the bar when it comes to the treatment of LGBTQ consumers, investors and employees.
The world’s largest leisure travel company announced Monday it has earned a perfect score in the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the second consecutive year.
The HRC is the largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in the U.S. and this marks the fifth time that Carnival has been recognized in the CEI report. Scores are based on detailed criteria in four key categories: non-discrimination policies across business entities; equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families; internal education and accountability metrics to promote LGBTQ inclusion competency; and public commitment to LGBTQ equality.
The achievement is a timely one for the cruise company as its 2020 sustainability goals include a commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
