Though Avengers: Endgame has come and gone, the recent DVD release has fans revisiting the ultimate conclusion to the MCU’s epic saga once more. Avengers: Endgame was an emotionally impactful joyride infused with walks down memory lane — as we traveled through the past — humorous fight sequences, and some of the most memorable dialogue (and monologues) the franchise has ever seen. We finally got to hear Cap utter the words, “Avengers, Assemble.” If that’s not some movie magic, what is?
Endgame has raised the bar so high for the superhero realm that most believe another film at its level may never reach the silver screen; however, we have faith in Marvel to continue defying our expectations. All ready for Avengers 5 yet?
As we prep for the future of phase 4, and the power Disney+ is bound to usurp from current streaming platforms, it’s bittersweet to reminisce. From Robert Downey Jr’s satisfying sacrifice as Iron Man to Captain America’s saddening, yet appropriate, conclusion, Avengers: Endgame was a near-perfect film. However, MCU fans were not thrilled with all aspects of the box-office triumph. One facet, in particular, seemed to bother more than a stray fan.
