Black Widow sets new box office record


Marvel’s Black Widow is the first MCU film since 2019, and while the Disney+ shows have been keeping fans tided over, they want the big screen experience. That’s why it’s no surprise at all that Natasha Romanoff’s solo outing has beaten the pandemic era record at the box office.

As reported by Variety, the film made over $80 million – estimated to be as high as $87 million – at the US box office in its opening weekend, soundly beating previous record-holder Fast 9, which did about $70 million in its opening weekend.

Black Widow‘s international box office was similarly impressive, earning another $78 million from 46 non-US markets.
